Poo to the Loo
Poo to the Loo is a browser-based vertical platformer with a cheeky twist. I made it to help potty train my little brother Arthur!
You play as a cute poo emoji character navigating upward through a series of horizontal barrier panels, each with a moving gap. The goal on every level is to reach the toilet at the top of the screen.
How It Plays
- Use the arrow keys to move your poo character left, right, up, and down
- Each level has a set of horizontal barriers stretching across the screen, with a gap that slides back and forth
- You need to time your position so you’re in the gap when you move through each barrier — if you hit the solid part of a barrier, you lose a life
- Reach the toilet at the top to complete the level and move on
Progression
- You start with 3 lives (shown as hearts in the top-left corner)
- Levels get progressively harder — more barriers, faster-moving gaps, and narrower openings
- The game is endless, so levels keep generating with increasing difficulty
- Your score and current level are always visible on screen
The Vibe
Friendly and charming — the poo character has eyes and a smile, keeping it cute rather than gross. Retro-modern style with playful fonts and smooth animations. Celebratory animation when you reach the toilet, a flash effect when you lose a life.
Think of it as a mix between Flappy Bird (timing gaps) and a classic vertical platformer — simple to pick up, tricky to master.
